The best thing to happen to Aviation is for Boeing to buy it.

Power will get rid of Nuclear division eventually. Bleak future.

My best guesses:

Global Ops will have some key people or functions moved back to P&Ls and the remaining org will be sold and become 3rd part sub-contractor similar to what they did with tax and E&Y.

Power will continue to sell any and all businesses other than Power Services & GPS but before they can get decent price there will be (more) significant cuts in overhead cost. Grid, Steam, Nuclear, PC are all on the table as Power tries to get simpler. Past arguments of bringing a suite of outcomes to customers goes out the window as Power prioritizes cash and margins. The moment Power seems to have rebounded (3-4 years from now?) then Power will be spun off just like Healthcare was. Aviation will be last to be spun off as they need to keep Power and Renewables and Corporate afloat.

GRC is next. Market-tested crap. Why should we care about being competitive and ahead of the technology in the future, if we can barely survive now???

Done for now. Coming to a core business near you? Cost cutting measures. I don't even want to discuss what that will entail. Then in one to two years (sooner perhaps?)

a dividend cut. God help us all if a major Stock Market correction occurs simultaneously.

GE Digital is already set to shrink out of existence. They told us we will be re-aligned to business so nothing really left. Transportation DT gone. Healthcare DT gone. Industrial Engine DT gone. Remaining BHGE DT gone. Remaining Capital Finance gone. Remaining Core Tech gone. Remaining Corporate gone. Cyber Security gone. Aviation, Power and Renewable's re-aligned. What's left? Predix lol

According to flannery the restructuring of the company is done after this move. That’s not saying cost cuts won’t continue to happen ie layoffs and what not. But as far as power spinning off. It’s probably not going to haven.

Digital I recently left GE after 16 years the last 2 in Digital. It is just a piggy back off of existing resources in GE.

Digital? We seem to be backtracking on it... Just my two cents, I recently joined though.
