If memory serves, I recall countless "new business tools" that would revolutionize our business. Not one of them worked. Dial back the faux enthusiasm as reality will not doubt settle in and nothing will change.

Wow, you guys really missed some of the key points. New eFollett site, Follett on demand, includED and a new POS. Follett is investing in the future and will maintain its leadership in the bookstore industry.

The conference was led by actors perpetuating outdated stereotypes while interrupting sessions with precious little information. Lots of s-xism on display.

Secret competitive advantage? I can buy any book I need off Amazon for less and have it delivered in 2 days for free. Great website Amazon! Think 50 million will get Follett close? How sad.

Who cares about Follett anymore. Baker and Taylor own Follett now . The higher ups are baker and Taylor people not Follett. Soon all buildings will probably say baker and Taylor.

Overall, I thought the conference was organized well. I believe they placed a lot of effort to make it memorable. It’s unfortunate that a certain person mentioned several times in the closing session how expensive it was. Gives perspective that some of the hire ups can’t stop bean counting even when finally trying to be motivational.

IMHO, assuming value in Follett’s most guarded competitive strategies is laughable. Follett will continue to focus on pleasing the partner while the competition continues to make lifelong customers of the students. Gotta run, I need to hit the dash button, we’re out of peanut butter.

Idiots. There are competitors on here trying to get you to list the things you talked about at the conference. These are the same competitors that get you to share your salaries and all the other info you keep posting. And you keep doing it.

made a big deal about bonus changes-but you still will only get 50% of your target if you reach 100% of your goal.

Not a word about the big 2% increase-i am sure they are embarrassed to talk about it since it is laughable.

Pushed Follett on Demand (was Advanced online) but they didn't mention we get no sale credit-only a tiny commission.

Enjoyable actors they had to keep people awake!

Some sessions were good-some dreadful.

What else would it be? Pablum being puked by bigwigs, maybe some business system improvements here or there, but otherwise complete omission of the company's market share being blasted to bits by Amazon.

So why not share with all the new things that will be happening!
