Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

More closings

AT&T is closing another call center. Over 100 people in Susquehanna Township will have to look for a new job by the end of August.

This "call center consolidation" is only a preview of what all of us will be seeing and feeling on our skin very, very soon.

T's solution to those small Call Centers is to move them to India, anywhere offshore and cheap.

The greed knows no end, a company that no longer cares about its workforce, viewed as a liability, think cost and benefits - T wants none of that. Plug and play only. Your experience and professionalism have no value.

T is losing market share due to these practices, but cost are going down so the books are good.

They have way too many itty bitty call centers.

People can follow their work, but that may not work out well for 2 income families, or people who own their homes.
