So DXC is compared with food outlets, grocery stores and Hertz? WTF but wait DXC is a foot outlet / grocery store which underpays its employees.

So funny... I got laid of a few month ago. Got a lecture about the company going Digital, and not all (older) employees fitting in this vision. Strange, as I was working as architect on Cloud/SAP and SAP Hana. But I was happy to be out... as I was so tired to work for a company without vision, and with management that talks a lot, but does not understand.

They did not understand 10 years ago, when I told them, we are not an IT company, we sell business. So to understand what a customer needs, we need to know their business processes and automate as much as possible (what they now call going digital), they did not understand when 7 years ago, I told them SAP Hana will not go wild until it would be placed in a Cloud environment.

Luckily I was the first who could work out a solution in EMEA for our datacenters.

They also did not understand how I was puzzled of working as Solution Lead successfully on multi milion deals, still with only a level specialist and with no salary raise for 13 years... with an engineering degree and potsgraduade business engineering, speaking fluently 3 languages.

So I did not fit the profile... what they did not know is that I had already my own webshop, which I configured myself... which is fully automated, I had also integrated and connected it to Amazon platform so I can sell on different platforms and everything keeps being synchronised.

No - my reply to DXC management... I was not digital enough for the new company?. "all those years you did not understand what was going on, you did not understand what I was talking about, and you did not understand what I was doing. And now even ... you are so stupid that you did not even understand that you did not understand.

What I understand now - DXC is a sinking ship - I am happy that I am out and able to do my own stuff now - without the need for stupid management approval.

Mikey are you just a real life Scrouge ?

Not giving your employee a pay rise but taking millions of dollars in compension yourself, are we subsidising an underperforming CEO ??

Are you one of life's failures Mikey ?

If you've a hard heart and pay yourselves lots money does that not make you one of life's loosers in the eyes of the world ?

Don't forget Mikey, they say reputation is everything ?

If you actually do a filter for current, full-time, US-based employees, the score goes down to 2.3 - To be honest, I don't even know how it's that high...

When you have an ex-typist/secretary as global head of HR, who is only in post because of her "close relationship" with the CEO, it's probably to be expected that staff relations are appalling and that HR is a shambles. I'm only surprised that DXC is not ranked as the worst!

When you've still got ~35,000 jobs to get rid of in 23 months, you need a hostile environment.

What you need for maximum financial efficiency is for those people to want to leave off their own backs so you don't need to pay redundancy.

Therefore the best strategy for the company is to simply sh1t all over the workforce.

Of course, your remaining staff will then be the ones who are easy to trample on every year after that, so you won't need to give them raises ever either.

Its win-win for Mikey.

There is nothing wrong with DXC that 120,000 layoffs can’t fix. Considering their contracts, customer base, and relatively low tech solutions, they should be ably to thrive with about 30,000 semi- motivated staff. No amount of management gymnastics or double talk can remedy the problem. Only cutting the weeds out so the remaining plants can thrive in the available soil will work.
