My husband received 9 weeks of severance pay from AT&T after 19 years and 4 months...some other employees received no severance pay....feel like he got cheated and was unappreciated truth be told...

Agree with another poster - same 'offer' if you stay and get involuntary. No big deal unless you are within 2 years of retirement I guess.

ATO will be wiped out. They must have a contingency plan to keep up work. Outsourcing team ready to jump in maybe

Trying to get this straight. ATT will pay severance and benefits to get rid of employee even if they have done nothing? Then bring them back as contractors in 6 months. Don’t get the logic

From email from Melissa Arnoldi, President ATO in email today: ..."Today, many of our U.S.-based management team members will receive a message about an ATO Management Voluntary Offer. This offer provides severance and benefits. It's a solid package, especially for managers who might have been planning to leave the business. It also complements the recent pension plan change that adds a full lump-sum payment option for managers in Legacy S (and associated companies) and Legacy T who didn't have the full lump-sum opportunity before. Because of anticipated interest rate changes, it could result in a higher pension lump-sum amount for those who depart in 2018..."
