Employee Opinion Survey?

Does it exist anymore? I haven't received one in a couple of years. I have been thinking about the questions on there related to communication from upper management. I would answer those different now than I used to.....

I think they're only effective if you have a bad first-line manager. But, again, they're not anonymous, by any means. That said, although I've received a few requests in the past recent years, I don't fill them out cuz first line fast been good and no need to problem info that could hurt me. Don't trust 'em!

I always answer honestly, which is the upper management s---s and doesn't know what happens on the ground floor, so they have no real idea of what needs to be done big picture. I am always able to do my job, it is upper management and the unwillingness to get rid of dead weight that is the issue.

I refused to fill those out since everything I would have stated would be negative. I think they were able to put a target on my back because of it. Corporate c---s---ers living in a cornfield....

I haven't seen what TGI discribed for the last 8-10 yrs. Not sure that is accurate anymore

Leadership pay/incentives are based partially on the responses of their team(s). That’s why you often have a meeting or witch hunt if they get bad results. It is anonymous, and if a particular leader has fewer than 5 responses, their people get grouped with the level above them. If you’re the only person regularly complaining on a 5 person team, then yes, it’s probably easy for them to figure out who it was.

All the questions are worded such that if you dont answer positively you look like a lazy bigot. I was always told you should never send out a survey unless youre willing to improve something based on the responses. Sounds like they got the message and quit?

@TGiWYmb-oqw - In my Proximity area any low or middle mgt that pushed back against anything Leadership wanted were not offered jobs in the latest re-org. Upper mgt sent a very loud message that they didn't want to hear anything but yes. Very discouraging.

I got one too a few months ago. Answered honestly. We haven't received any type of feedback. I don't think how we feel matters anyway, so whats the point of sending them out??

Don't fool yourself into thinking your opinion matters. For example: news Hub responses are "cleansed" of any feedback that opposes the company view.

Providing feedback through opinion surveys just let leadership know who is and isnt supporting executives agenda.

I am seeing No real interest in building the business, just a desire by low and mid-level leadership to say whatever executive wants to hear.

This place is a mess
