From email from Melissa Arnoldi, President ATO in email today: ..."Today, many of our U.S.-based management team members will receive a message about an ATO Management Voluntary Offer. This offer provides severance and benefits. It's a solid package, especially for managers who might have been planning to leave the business. It also complements the recent pension plan change that adds a full lump-sum payment option for managers in Legacy S (and associated companies) and Legacy T who didn't have the full lump-sum opportunity before. Because of anticipated interest rate changes, it could result in a higher pension lump-sum amount for those who depart in 2018..."

Remember when Att got that sweet tax cut that was gonna protect jobs and they even gave us a cool grand? Peppridge farms remembers.
Any idea as to if there will be another offer before the end of 2018? My department was excluded and I would love to leave the company with this package.
The only incentive to take this offer is if there is no severance pay for the Q3 surplus, probably coming in August.
The problem with these offers is the dead weight doesn’t take it. The smart go-getters take it and then have another job in no time.
So, when nobody takes this offer, when do they start whacking people? August?
At&t Technology Operations
When do they have to be off payroll?
Well this s---s. I already gave my resignation and today is my last day. Timing is bad
AT&T Technology Operations (ATO)
I was not eligible for lump-sum pension payout when I left. Perhaps the increased number of payouts now will improve T's debt / solvency profile, increasing the reliability of monthly pension benefits for the rest of us.
ATO = AT&T TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS, one of the largest business units in the company. Melissa reports to John Donovan
Any thoughts on if they will make an offer to the techs/craft?
What is "ATO" ?
