Any 'key' folks in your team paid $rentention ? Lots of tribe knowledge would be lost if some key folks all started leaving. So little knowledge is documented it would be really tough. At current stock performance RSUs/options have only weak retention vlue.

If qcom were smart theyd have nda’s attached to the retention offers (hint: qcom is not smart).

Anyone spouting off here abouy their retention bonus is lying... only a complete fool would do that as these offers are so few and far between that HR can quickly figure out who it is

That said, with the complete lack of documentation or training in Q combined with the 'hoard the info' culture, a LOT of knowledge and so on is held the heads of key individuals. Q cannot have these peeps to walk. They will be retained and have been already locked down with $$$offers.

1kso again. Forgot to mention on top of 40k and rsu's and annual review bonus, they aggreed to allow me to relocate to Arizona and WFR (work from my Ranch!).

Arizona is great with best schools, while teachers are walking out elsewhere. My kids education is secure and my dog will love the desert sun, he is bored along with all in the family of the may do, june gloom stuff.

Now I want to buy some horse and ponied so we could all enjoy some manure. Imagine how manof you would get that chance??? I on the other hands will get to enjoy that alog with my retention$$, Rsu's, bonus and a six pack of Bud!!

Not sure what the fuzz about. Retention is true. The exact terms might be different. Simple logic, you are dispensible if you didn't get one. Even you got one, it only means that the group need some time to replace you if you decided to leave.

If you get an offer somewhere else, most likely you will get sign-on bonus and much better future. So why wait...

I noticed that my post of $40K monetary comp, 50% upfront and 50% after 6mo's was pulled. Someone on this site (HR?) who has authority to delete posts deleted it. Shame on Q, playing favoritism over others and NOT info'ing them of what they were capable of getting if they made some noise. BTW... that was $40K for the year, on top of the yrly stock RSU's and review bonus. Not chump change for the person that said that was not much... ohh btw, for my particular skillset, with the way they are letting people go... I expect to get that retention $ for the next few yrs.

Heard senior staffs will get around $150k over 3 years. Rest are not critical and will be replaced with India or internal transfer from teams getting canned if they leave. I am so pissed and just updated my resume this weekend. F&$k Q
