So has anyone heard anything about the ptc positions going away ?just wondering I have heard several things bout new process if they are doing all new new apps for new hires why do u need a ptc?

I’m a ptc and I work harder than all of you. Not physically, but mentally. Assistant to managers, go between for associates. We do Gain terminations, all benefits, Orientaions, hiring, fix time clock issues so you get paid correctly, remind mgrs to approve vacays, approve ur time requests, FILE (OMG), FT PT employment compliance, Iron Mountain send out, LOAs, ALL ASPECTS of it, schedules, schedule changes, call associates in for a missed shift, fix punches, track Evals, update OSHA, keep break room stocked, clean ready to go, lunches for associates, CBLs!!! and all the while have associates coming in asking questions like, Can you fix my punch? I accidentally clocked out?!?
(There’s so much more we do, I can’t think of it all right now...) I digress.
But YE, are jobs are going to Workday! Yay!!! Congratulations!!! You can all be happy now that the PTC will be gone and YOU get to do it ALL YOURSELF through a computer system....by yourself! 🤪🤪🤪
Thank you for seeing what else ptc do I really don’t think the company gets what the ptc really do especially when you have a hot headed manger that always want to coach or fire people the ptc are a voice of reckoning.I guess they will see once the positions are eliminated
I’m not a ptc but once they eliminate this position it’s gonna be one big joke. Managers don’t have time now it’s gonna be one big a-- mess. Ptc does more than hire they are the back bone of every club. I can say our ptc keeps these managers in line when it comes to policy. Ptc is the one that’s there to answer questions and keep the policies in check.

So how many of your clubs had a conference call today about what they call work app? Well market 47 did and they were told on the cc not to tell PTCS whats going on! All the new things are supposed to take place in Sept so in sept BO MORE PTCS GET OUT While you can !I think it’s really funny how they were not suppose to say anything and as soon as they get off the call the mgr and associate start telling everyone! I guess the mgr and the associate look out for ptc more then the company does!
Yes orientation has changed the managers have most of the role and PTC gets a little over an hour. I questioned if this will be going away. Our orientation is stretched out anyway..get them started on CBLs and start training quicker pleassssse
To 2aqy, Because that comment is so stupid, I can only assume it came from the h/o. That's the last two positions that should be part time.
Your right the ptc are assistant to all the mgrs I know ptc that key sch for the mgrs sch interview process the new hire 100 % cuz the mgrs don’t know how to and really don’t have time to honestly!
An experienced ptc could do the job part time, however it would make more sense to add responsibilities to the job and keep them full time. Most ptc’s act as the managers assistant also, and you would be placing a lot of extra work on the managers.
PTC and invoice clerk should be partime, it only makes sense

Do you mean "apps" as in apps on your phone? Or like applications that you fill out for employment? Or like the new apps on The Wire?
