The new calculation method only allows them to reach their full vacation benefits if they work a full 40 hours every week. Since most of us have been instructed to put them at 37.5 hours they are effectively losing at least 6% of their vacation and they don't even know it. I'm so glad mine are too dimwitted to notice.

They are more than likely not as dimwitted as you think. If you were a good manager then you would point out and try to explain the new vacation policy instead of trying to hide it. However, I sense that you are one of those coward managers and you fear what may happen if your employees find out. And they will find out when it comes time to put it some vacation time.
Such a shame you call your associates dimwitted. I would wager that they are the backbone of the store and hard working folks that deserve a manager that respects and stands up for them. Maybe management is not were you should be or at least respect were you may have come from if you worked your way up from dimwittedness
