Initially when I worked for both Jack and Jeff in various roles, I thought the same thing Jeff got handed a turd. Sorry, but he had 17 years to straighten the place out. GE had an army of people and consultants providing direction and market intelligence. In the end corporate greed has cratered the company. The stock buybacks during Jeff's reign was ridiculous. The buying of companies to turn around and sell them a few years later was a major joke. The treble hooks in the employees pockets have been just criminal over the past 17 years. As a former employee , I can say why on earth would you want to work for this POS company?
