Ok so April 1st is tomorrow which is Easter, and we're closed. They automatically put in 8 hours of PTO for us. I am full-time, so I automatically get 2 days off, one of them being the holiday, and the other a normal day off. Now my question is, whenever they use PTO for a holiday, don't I get another day off on top of the holiday? Since I'm paying myself the day off, don't I get another day? giving me 3 days off in that schedule week? If so what policy can I show to prove my point?

The only days the company automatically places PTO are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Any other holiday (or day you would like off with pay), you must request PTO. If you do not want to utilize PTO on the previously mentioned holidays, speak to your manager or PTC and he or she can remove it for you.
The company stopped putting PTO
for associates last year around
Thanksgiving. If an associate wants
to get paid, they need to put in for PTO time. And they can’t use
“Holiday” as the reason since Easter
has never been a paid holiday. They can use personal or vacation.
No “they” do not put in pto for Easter. Unlike Christmas, Easter has never been a paid holiday for associates. If someone actually entered your pto time for Easter without your knowledge or consent you need to report this immediately!
She is saying they did put in the PTO. Which does happen. I've seen it. In that case out ptc would usually go in and take out any PTO that puts you over 40 hrs. I wish it would give us 3 days off but Sam's isn't that generous...
We have never been paid for Easter, but like everyone else has stated you can use your PTO for Easter if you want
The company no longer pays for holidays. Christmas for example, if you want your 3rd day off they'll use the PTO time u have accrued.
Easter has never been a paid holiday . They will not automatically put in pto hrs for you. It’s just a regular day off and you can choose to put pto in if you like
