Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Is he really on his way out?

First time I heard it mentioned outside this board today, so now I am getting hopefully it might actually be true.

Can we just get an answer about this already? I hope he sees how extremely ecstatic his employees are/were hearing how he is/may be out. It’s pretty bad that none of us like his policies and we’re all miserable with him in charge! So can we just get an answer? I’m dying to know... this guy has GOT to go!!!

How many billions in lost dollars and millions of lost customers does it take to get rid of a CEO? Apparently we haven't bled enough to get there yet...

OK, he lost one million policies and we'll keep him.

Where is the logic in that.

I give it a 25% chance they will fire him in a month or two.

Yet, knowing how slow the board is, this may take years (or millions more lost)

I will believe it when I see it. He would be gone already but the inflated stock market makes him look good and makes the million policy loss, not look so bad, but it is bad.

People you are all wishful thinking. The goals have not failed. Until or unless they do (expense reduction) and maybe not even then if history serves, nothing new with this is happening...

So I went to get my morning coffee and standing in front of me was a guy I know. He was telling me that he was at a family function over the weekend and was talking to his cousin. Well his cousin was telling him about a conversation that he had Friday night over drinks at a local watering hole. The people all having drinks were from a group of executives, secretaries, children's girlfriends. Well all the young ladies were discussing that one of their boyfriends had told one young lady that her step mom was telling the family that G.J. Mecherle has been resurrected and was at the board meeting on Thursday. Needless to say that all the board members voted to restore him to his rightful place as CEO of the company. A few execs complained that it wasn't fair and were escorted out. The Board was quoted as saying,,,,,"if the dead can vote in Illinois, they might as well run a company."
