Several threads a month or so ago mentioned March 21 as the most likely day for next big round of layoffs.
I haven't seen much mentioned about it since then, so I'm wondering if that turned out to not be true or if we should be prepared for layoffs at various Enbridge locations this week?
Any info would be appreciated.
Ok, that last comment was a little too “office space”. To be fair, Deloitte and Bain are just trying to milk us for every dollar they can but they are not the ones making the call to cut waste. That is being made month by month by our Directors and VPs based on attitude and whether you made their job easier or harder(#personal accountability). That being said: EGD and Union will merge and there is a huge overlap. Half of GTM is up for sale, and with it some of the best people I’ve worked with. And talk of a technical core won’t go away. So... layoffs will happen and we will all move on. In the meantime, anyone got more than rumours to share?
whoever the fool is who said no more layoffs - take off your rose colored glasses and open your eyes! at this point, even the wrench turners need to be watching out. the company is going to do whatever it needs to do to eliminate jobs because the operating dollars have been cut too severely already. and we need to pay all these consultants they are hiring to cut waste.

There will be no layoffs. We just did our objective planning this week, why would we do that if we won't be around to see them through? Common sense people.
