I've interviewed at three places who all mentioned that they've had multiple applicants from Humana. I had to explain the reduction in work force, but I haven't had any call backs from those employers. Previous posters who advised getting out before a layoff were dead right. It taints you, even if you were a good performer.

No curse. Your attitude will shine through on your interview. Negativity will be picked up on your interviews. Humana had layoffs. So what? You were looking for a job when you found that one! Now get out there and go find your dream!
My Humana experience landed me a great job. You may not realize it now, but their training and the micromanaging has made me a top performer in my new job. You may not agree with Humana’s business plan, so get a new job. You need to realize, you have great listening skills and great time management skills. And productive? You got this!!
I understand how you feel. I find myself answering behavioral interview questions in my sleep. I'm so sick of interviewing! I just met with a hiring manager who deliberately pushed aside her list of questions from HR and just had an open conversation with me about the job and my experience. It was so refreshing! It’s hard to stay positive. I have been trying to acquire a job since Nov 1 and it’s now the end of March. It’s been awful. I know it’s not because I was laid off but because there are so many applicants.
Please be positive! I know it’s easier said than done. I now work for a competitor, and 6 people on my team are also laid off employees from HAH. I was shocked on first day! Let your skills and personality shine through. People see us more than a laid off employee :)
