Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Aberdeen pay offs

Yet again the axe falls due to halliburton not showing positive cost reductions to clients

It's not managers nor top level that have to suffer but normal working class people

Baroid lacks all round not only on investment but most importantly equipment you could say white elephant for short

Your wrong the oil is not finished in aberdeen north sea the problem is halliburton not doing there part for the workforce or more importantly the oil companies see the word is greed that's why they lose so much work .

You don't have to be well educated to take this onboard many bad decesisions has cost halliburton but it does seem bad management still do not learn from big mistakes

Time to leave Aberdeen and move elsewhere. Oil Industry is finished there.

When will you clowns working out of Aberdeen understand this oil business is going nowhere but down and out. Read the news... the world wants fossil fuel extraction to stop to save the planet. It's time to shut the oil industry down. Oil companies are on the back foot and are not interested in your average joe bloggs. They want to maximise shareholder profit at your expense before it goes belly up.

Work elsewhere as this company has no thought for the working people

Go to a smaller company where there is good communication along with good atmosphere something halliburton does not have

Aberdeen is coming to its end as an oil field hub. The North Sea is almost finished with drilling as operators look for lower-cost areas elsewhere. Why wouldn't they when demand for oil will hit the skids over the next decade.

Lot of incompetent managers onshore need to go. Most are uneducated deadwood, no brain cells, liars, don't know what they're doing backstabbers. Sooner they get kicked out the better for Aberdeen ops.

Aberdeen North Sea area is finished as an oil centre. Too expensive means it has to close down.
