Up to 12 weeks severance is pretty good. When laid off by Kellogg in the Brown and Root merger, I was given one week of severance up to 6 weeks of service. That was after 25+ years of service.

CB&I is the most unethical, unprofessional and corrupt company I have ever seen. They told me I was eligible for rehire. Do not know why they think I would work for them again.

Full of unskilled inexperienced workers but they are cheap, just like CB&I.

for you millennial's- unlike gov service, you're not 'guaranteed' a job in the private sector. news flash: you're not born- 'entitled' to a paycheck, either. If you're a solid skilled performer the new company will most likely keep you, if you're deadwood 'u know who you are'- you're out, unless maybe u have close 'family' ties. Deadwood- you're in the wrong career, get up and go find a job you'll enjoy, succeed at & contribute to the economy, don't s--- off others. This merger/buyout is probably the best option for CBI personnel whether u like it or not, take the bitter pill and move on!

not seeing many CBI layoffs yet, a few. Figured massive layoffs would have started - maybe it begins after McDerm completes buyout- voids CBI severance, management saves a few heartless bucks.

Layoffs almost daily at CBI.... no severance at all.

Many of the Cousins, Brothers, and In-laws (CB&I) appear out of new McDermott executives. Their main interests appear to be with Technology and Fabrication.

Just be glad they bumped up the severance. When the prior CEO was running things there was NO severance. The new CEO changed that before the massive layoffs. Incredible that PA walked away with all that $$$$ and never thought that the workers deserved the same thing. That my friends is the double standard if I ever saw one. CB&I treats their employees like cattle.

You forgot to mention additional funds to cover two months of COBRA, although you don't have to use it for that. Also, they will prorate 2018 vacation time. If you have used it all early, you may owe some $$, which will be deducted from your severance. Same goes for $$ owed on your AmEx account.
