Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Next round?

Does anyone have solid information on when the next round of layoffs will be announced? A couple of months ago I read on here of an April announcement. With the most recently impacted associates just now leaving and rosters being dispersed I am thinking next month would be a little too soon??

Considering how much rosters are increasing and coming over with alerts due or overdue, the stress continues. Trying to clean up our rosters daily when we get newly reassigned or new members overnight is frustrating. The prediction from others that those left would be scre**d was so true.

That particular coach’s lack of response is besides the point - people come and go, turnover continues. The point is that no credible details have been provided regarding an upcoming round. I think there will be a break for a while from RIF’s.

Coach 22 said a long time ago they aren't going to post anymore, so their lack of response means nothing. To previous poster I would choose to stay because it is smart to keep your job, until you secure another job.

You seem to mean well last poster and you are correct in most of your points, however this is from Webster.com :

“A layoff is not the same as being fired. Firings typically occur when an employee is at fault or has disobeyed company policies; terminations are not necessarily a direct reflection of a particular employee's performance (although it takes a village to wreck a company).”

If and When you receive the confidential email; will you stay or will you go? What I am asking is, What if You had a choice, what would You do?

When you receive the email what is your choice: to stay or to go?

What part of care do you feel here that makes you want to stay?

I feel a sense of created fear in attempt to make us run. No need to worry, I already have two feet out the door.

What about layoffs?

I have never heard of such a thing here. Layoffs are defined as a discharge, especially temporary, of a worker or workers.

Folks there is nothing more bold outside of b---s--- in your face. What about leaving and not coming back here leads you to believe your being laid off? It's a massive firing to sustain for what's to come.

Your being evaluated in a unique way; with or without knowledge of their intent.

What part of healthcare do you think insurance improves?

Well one distinct fact is at one point in time maybe we were all working towards the good of the group. Focused on our members, goals, change, and building bridges.

Greed worked against you and it was not you. You were trying to perform your job duties incorrectly as that is what you were told to do.

Complete assessments. Don't spend time listening. Now do the opposite, but wait because I'm gonna make more changes again.

What about confusion and or the opposite of the continuity of care do you see in this culture?

What makes you want to stay and makes you want to go?

What will you choose when you get the email?

I will choose to live life again and pray all of you are living and or choosing to live life to the very fullest.

Usually we get a detailed heads up (Blinky, Coach 22, 💯). Regardless of any speculation that those particular individuals do or do not work for the company at this point, we haven’t received any detailed or credible updates from anyone. Therefore, I’m inclined to believe there is no April RIF announcement.

Our coach told us the same thing about the focus on stabilizing. Watch - April will come and go without confidential emails. I don’t think there is a q2/q3 round coming.

Stabilize.........BAHAHAHAHA!!! if we were stabilizing would Bruce Broussard be selling his millions in stock options back in February..... right after the planned lay offs were announced? Good thing he did it before stocks dropped today!! Google the articles!!

Stabilize....really...keep believing that. They always say no more layoffs, we just had to restructure and stabilize. This company plans to close down the HAH program all together once the deal and "stabilizing" of Kindred in home things are done. The mind set to move to other area of Humana as well is a a joke, no area is safe. Wake up people. Get out while you can. I am actively looking....
