I will NEVER go back after being laid off in 2014! I took a couple months off and went and started working for a bank with 3 1/2 weeks PTO starting out and banking hours on top of that!! Sam’s lost a valuable employee that always worked on my off days and even vacations! Not anymore! And I have already been promoted several times and at a great pay! Best thing that ever happened to me! Good luck to the rest of you!!

The packet says you cannot work for Walmart for however many weeks of pay you're getting from it. Since they're paying out 1 paycheck for every year of work. Say you were there for five years, you wouldn't be rehireable for 10 weeks.

If you wanted to stay with Wal-Mart , you should have just stepped down to hourly . Any club prob would have taken you . You would of been able to keep your years, PTO, and more than $11.00

You can not work for Sam's or Walmart for one week for every year that you had completed with Sam's. However you will qualify for about 6 months of unemployment as well. (25 years of service is 25 weeks) Yes most will definitely be rehireable, but at starting pay of $11. There are no exceptions for this. It is no longer up to club managers to make call on this based on experience, it is direction from home office. So move on.....

You'd have to read your packet. Most likely there's a time frame like six months or something. But you'll likely end up starting off as a new hire, starting pay and no years of service.
