Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Cut the cord

Why are you still here? I keep encouraging folks to move on yet you stay and bemoan the situation. Quick b--ching and get moving. The job market has picked up significantly. If not now, when???? There are ZERO reasons to stay and life is too short to be under-appreciated. Once you make that jump (and I have), life is sooo much better. Spread the love.

Look around. The fact that the top talent has exited should be a bit of a tip off. You are worth it!!

If you're waiting to retire, you'd best plan for an early retirement that you planned for. Do you have enough money? If you hvae an updated skill set, look for a new job. It's hard to find work when you're in your mid-50's/early 60's. However, how much better will your life be if you finish your work life in a rewarding company, achieving. Face it, at best follett is slowly dying. you're too young to be dying wiht this bloated corpse of a company. You may have fewer than 10 working years left, make them worth while.
