Guys go out there and apply you will surely get lot of calls. Put in hard work, learn new tech and in couple of months you will get something good. Something more meaningful and satisfying.

Don’t commit the mistake of waiting like me.

It’s disappointing. but the options are clear,

stay and endure or there’s the door.

good luck out there !

Our problem in Sales is we dont have any really good hunters and only luke-warm farmers. We havent had good hunters in a long time. Thats why Tom was key, because he also helped dial in at sales close time. Unfortunately Sean and DS are very rookie when it comes to closing deals. So no help there either. Just like its really hard to find good engineering and engineering leadership it’s also really hard to find a good hunter. You’ll go through 10 before you find that star. Sales and IT are all that matters in a software company, outsource everything else and hire insanely well in those to areas

AS president is afraid of Greg G. who acts like the president. Therefore he does not layoff/fire high level sales people & consultants. As a matter of fact this business unit has big responsibility in Sabre’s failure.

How does GG still have a job??? He is universally disliked by all his direct reports as well as the rank and file of Sales!

What sickens me is all of the fake Glass Door reviews tauting this as the best company ever. It is still a 3.0 rating only because of this.

You're correct but remember the fish stinks from the head down, Not all the tech leaders who are gone were good, but ones who were good are gone.

Why only worker bees get laid off most of the time?

I see so many useless people at VP level or director level adding no value but playing games

SSPD has so many idiots under the new CTO , the whole Chain under HJ import from Hospitality and his gang are utterly useless. Look at DL under HJ , what is she? A TPF goddess ?? What has she really added other than destroying people’s carrier and smooth talking up, she had her previous boss by his balls AM who got axed , next she could get her balls on new boss so went to HJ . The top dead cream just needs to get lost

I am in same boat as many were on Thursday in AS and TN and SS

If you think you have been laid off because of your s-x, origin, nationality, relegion file a complaint at EEOC’s Dallas Office in person or by mail. Include your reasons in your complaint.

As a current spouse, Thanks to everyone who shared what happened to them and their coworkers regardless of their current status. Even if they have left it’s useful information for future hires to know what kind of company they are about to join. As for new hires it’s going to be hard to convince them a company uses layoffs to manage a p&l very qtr.

for existing employees it reminds to remember to be on game and not to trust peers or managers.

It’s real and true.

For sure life is great beyond Sabre... not yours though who come to this site even after leaving the company LOL

Doesn't matter. In a couple weeks we'll see a new hire orientation going on in A1-157 full of people who have never even been on an airplane.

Are they spreading it out so they don't have to file WARN notification with the Texas Employment Commission? This is when it gets picked up by the media. Dragging this out once a quarter confirms that there appears not to be any strategy other than cutting costs for profitability. It's not a business model.

So we'll be subject to Media Blitz by PR, vague and meaningless information from internal communications, and unicorns and rainbows by employee engagement.

Nothing would surprise me at this point. There could be a weekly layoff and I wouldn't even be surprised.

There won’t be any more layoffs for couple of months.

If they wanted to do something this was the time.

There is no point of doing it again next week.

I don’t think anyone is fired. Everyone was laid off.

If fired for performance-related issues, then Sabre better have a long clear and signed documentation of the issue. Firing someone versus layoff to avoid severance and package costs will tangle them into the legal matrix. However, they may suspect you do not have the money to fight them in court. So, if you have documentation of wrong-doing, then get the support of the EEOC for your case asap.

Are layoffs over? There has been no "unfortunate action" email from Putin yet.

I would just say this: If you are laid off in the DFW area and are looking for new employment, go join and attend the Southlake Focus Group meetings on Thursday mornings at 8AM, Whites Chapel United Methodist Church. The group there is very large, well connected and tons of resources to help you land that next job - all at no cost! I was laid off last year and through this group I was able to prepare and improve myself to get a new job that is better than what I had at Sabre. Good luck - life can be great beyond Sabre.

Hey managers, if somebody that you know is mistreated by HR and ER, which happens a lot, wo/man up & speak up by putting formal complaints. Some coward managers were silent when their team members were harrased after lay off, in the past.

Cutting high level sales & consulting in AS is much more fair and efficient than cutting bunch of staff, contributors, associates-jr people.

Associate laid off Thurs. Got bad review. Everyone took questionnaire f/job skill's few mons back. Both factors. Associates boss on job for one mons when neg review given. not good Team down 30pct in year.

DFW report total damage? Was that all layoff for May or more will follow next week?

by

Post ID: @1cfe+SSyiDKG

Total number around 500? DFW was the only target? Most of these people will not receive severance because they were fired (at-will employment)... This seems to be new trend.

This is a layoff mixed with “performance related firing” if there was no issue with performance than one wa invented, more than 4 examples in tEo alone . Peers don’t elevate yourselves to think you are superior your just untargeted/complacent/lucky.

ps don’t have a baby that drops you rating,

I dont think you’ll get hard numbers.

Im sure its below 100 though.

what you can tell is that it was coordinated across multiple BU’s. So its not 5-6.. but probably under 100. (if it was under 10-20 it wouldnt have popped up on this board.. and it wouldnt have needed to have been coordinated across multiple BU’s

Effective April 25th and not May 25th.

So much for the promises of the Sabre executives. All hollow promises and hence the executives are never going to have the trust of the employees again
