Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Sitting on pile of cash, yet layoffs?

From today's financials,

Cash and cash equivalents at end of March, 2018= $ 37.9B

Cash and cash equivalents at end of March, 2017= $ 7.1B

Why not invest the cash to hire more, invest in new areas than laying off more?

NXP is junk, they should have never pursued it.

As GD said, its already set aside for NXP or stock buybacks. Anyway, dont need the expensive US engineers, given they have no strategic plans for engineering. Its all M & A now.

Hope NXP doesn't happen, if there are going to be layoffs either way then let it be the case where NXP doesn't happen, in the scenario where NXP happens, all the bottomline in US locations will be fried and the top bosses will be counting the $s as is the case always
