What kind of trash is this 2% raise? If you want to reward folks, make up for lost time. I would have hoped at least a 4% was in there. 2% doesn't make up for all the cost of living increases incurred since my last raise. What a bunch of b---s---. I really need to get out of this company.

I haven't had a raise since 2011. 2% is a joke. I blame myself for staying. My resume has been prepared and have started to look. I like my job, liked the company, the people, the values. Once you start feeling abused it is just a matter of time when you can't take it any longer. It is like being in a very bad relationship.
This years push, the recognition program. Ha, like my staff could care about getting an E card almost as much as I could care less about getting an E card. After 20 years I think I have received 2, and there have been multiple times I have done things beyond my regular position that I would have deserved one, but nobody uses or likes the program. We want money-that is the way to reward employees.
I will be sad to go because I like my school/campus, my staff, my r.m. But i can't live on the pay.
New managers are getting hired for more than i make. Just wrong.
I started applying for other jobs a week ago, this does nothing to change my mind.
This is exactly what the big wigs want you to think. To be so thankful for a 2% raise as if it's something so huge and generous. 2 percent only looks big bendier they hadn't given squat since 3 years ago. Don't be s---ered ladies and gents. This is all a ploy to try and get the lemmings back in line, get them s---ling at the teat. Don't fall for it. Take your 2 percent, but realize you are worth so much more AND GET THE HELL OUT.
2% is better than the last few years receiving $0. Still across the board , new hires, those with 3 months, and those with years receive the same amount. Manager with 3 months receives a raise that is undeserved. .....I'm buying a gumball with my raise, hope I don't choke!
I'll put my stores results up against anyone's including the f---er who said I haven't done anything to deserve a raise. My store has outperformed -by a mile - all the other stores in the region for years now. All I get for it is this 2% nonsense and bonuses that keep shrinking every year. The problem isn't my performance. The problem is this company doesn't give a damn about quality work and is doing everything imaginable to finally force my hand and make me leave a job in great at and that I enjoy because they refuse to pay an honest years wages.
With big box store closings and bankruptcies all over the news the gasping Follett coughs up a raise for those who stuck it out. Nothing to see here.
Actually I am a damn good manager ans deserve a lot more. You didnt have to attack me personally.
They are indeed cheap (and arrogant) bastards.
So I am just guessing. Since you haven’t received a raise in three years...tells me you haven’t done anything to deserve one. People, what a joke. Look around and see what is going on. Look at all he retailers going out of business or all most going out of business. 2% is actually pretty good considering. Anyway...think what you want..just maybe you don’t deserve any better.
Its been 3 years, not 2. 3 years without a raise and then getting 2% is insulting. Hey Ray, what ever happened to us being rewarded for going years without raises... Oh, right, you dont have to keep promises by people no longer with the company.
Our company is an outlier. Tons of corporations gave their staff a big bonus for to the tax breaks, in addition to their annual raise.
Follett gave no such bonus, and a miniscule raise after 2 consecutive years of no raises. So it averages out to a 0.66% raise per year for the last 3 years.
Bravo Follett for once again showing its true "values." And you can damn well be sure it isn't "each and every associate."
Cheap bastards.
I’m happy to have it. Its a lot better than no raise.
