Same as in 2015 expect the executive team to dole out smaller bonuses and less restricted stock than in prior years. This will save compensation expense on the backs of the still employed.

Will be even lower if profit targets are missed. Execs don't care because they have said engineers are conservative and don't want to leave on their own. They need a push. Problem? Yes. NEVER treat employees based on what you think they will do. Reward them for their contribution.

Oct rolls around and, ooops, bonus pool is as dry and a San Diego summer.
All the while SM has a 2018 performance reward. If its anything like 2015, thats $50 million.

Given the company is in so much of trouble at a corporate level, why are these morons distributing bonuses?
I bet they keep this a secret until the very end of the merit cycle in October.
