if you find a job before your termination date, you need to leave as resignation.

good, and probably pay your sign-on bonus back, if you are a new hire.

If you leave before termination date, you CANNOT collect unemployment, you CANNOT collect a severance bonus, and QUALCOMM WINS because their unemployment insurance is lower, if they can convince you to leave before you are laid off.
