In a cryptic text message to the registrants to the MH keynote, attendees were notified that MH was not going to be able to speak. CB (Customer Success Maven) came on stage and gave a stellar performance and apology on behalf of Hurd's medical team that he was home in bed ill. The general consensus of the attendees was CB's delivery was very theatrical and a bit over the top. (Read: Disengenuous). What ailment could MH have? Is his ailment the stock dropping?

Apparently MH laid off a guy from Haiti in the recent UX layoffs. The guy from Haiti went online and put a voodoo curse on MH. Shortly afterwards MH got sick.

CB is a character. She has the best of intentions, but in over her head. She presented in an all hands for 15 minutes about a new word we should adopt.... bestest. Everyone in the room laughed and was in shock. We had a guest speaker who was speechless when asked about bestest during the call. The good news it appear she got the feedback she needed because she dropped the word bestest. Rebranded to better than the best. Unfortunately for our guest speakers on that call, they branded the whole ordeal as the stupidest.
