If you are on STD and your job is eliminated, will you continue to remain getting paid until you go back to work? Will you still have 60 days from when you are told your job has been eliminated?

Not all associates on STD are on worker’s compensation, so your answers depend on one’s circumstances.
The 60 percent is based off of your full hourly pay so your severance should also be based off of your full hourly rate.
He or she should still be based on receiving his full pay per hour cause the 60 percent is how much his std was based on his std pay.
It should be noted that if your STD workers comp is still in effect past the 60 days you will still be paid until your doctor releases you back to work(at which point you would be without a job). You do NOT lose your comp just because you no longer work for a company. Also depending on the nature of your injury you could also end up getting paid until you find a new job if you are released to work with limitations(i.e. how much you can lift, how long you can be on your feet, ect)
(This advice provided by a guy living somewhere that might not be your somewhere, check your state laws but a in general this holds true)
You were NOT working making full pay. Sorry for typo.
Just remember that your severance
pay may be less. Depending on your state, STD does not pay
100% of your wages, only a percentage. They calculate your average weekly wage over a 12
week period. If you are on STD during that time, you are only getting a percentage of your wages.
Your average weekly wage
will be less. You were working
making full pay.
Yes. When our store got closed, we had a few people on STD and they all had the same options we did. S---s for them because they were in no condition to look for other jobs or transfer.
Yes. One of our audit associates was off on std when their job got eliminated. She had 60 days to figure out what she wanted to do just like the other two.
