Well, yes I earned my degree a while back. I only stayed because of the schedule and I make decent money. But at least I have something to fall back on as soon as I'm out of this cesspool. If you want to stay and take whatever position they want like on of their little flunkies, go for it. Let them take part of your pay, have you work all different hours, etc. You can smile at them and say, "Thank you soooooo much for letting me clean toilets." Then wait until you come to work one day with your little scrub brush and the doors are locked. Y'all are really pathetic. You call me arrogant and stupid but you don't even value yourself as a human being. Remember this a year from now, if takes that long. Your wasting your so-called loyalty on a company that could care less about you. Oh well, not my problem. I find it amusing.

I actually called the poster a loser not the job. And maybe I didn't say it the correct way. I didn't mean that being a custodial engineer is worthless. Each position is valuable. What I meant was, I didn't spend all these years in a more stressful position and do so many others things beyond my position to go clean toilets. I don't care what anyone thinks of that because they would feel the same way. I have a lot of knowledge from taking charge and doing things beyond my realm of duties. A nurse wouldn't go to school for 4 years to be a phlebotomist. This is why we are a level 7 or whatever they classify it as now. If I go on vacation, etc. ,someone can't just step into my job. Now I do realize they are doing away with it. H/O will be paying bills, no more journal research or any research for that matter. Lol! Anyway, don't really care what y'all think. I KNOW my value and I'll have no issue getting a great position elsewhere. I think there is a little jealousy because it sounds like that's not an option for you. Either way, your loyalty to this company isn't really admirable at this point. It actually makes you look very foolish at this point. This company DOES NOT care about you so why bother defending it? Whatever, you'll find out and I'll be happy somewhere else. 😁
We need to band together as clerks and demand raises for us taking on more responsibility outside the receiving office.

You guys ARE drinking something. That's for sure. I am a loooooong term associate and I have way more than earned my respect. YES, they do owe us the right to kmow what is going to happen with the Invoice Clerk job. It's very unethical the way they are treating us. So when you are in position for over 27 years with this company and they just decide to eliminate it, thet owe you nothing? No explanation, no information, NOTHING? So 27 years of dedicated service means absolutely nothing? If you truly believe that, your in the right place. You could actually be the backbone of this company. Lol! How come Audit and Cash office were offered a severance but not us? Are they better than us? We just want answers that we DEFINITELY deserve. What's funny to me is how associates have turned on one another. Instead of having a little empathy, we have fellow associates like you telling us to get out if we don't like it. I'm proud to say that, atleast at my club, we still care about one another. Ya'll shoud be ashamed of yourselves for turning your backs on the ones whose getting screwed over. You say you won't be negative when "your time comes," but I'm pretty sure you will be eating those words when they lower your pay by a couple dollars an hour but expect you to do the same job. Or do the job that it used to take three people to do. Leaving work everyday so stressed out its unbelievable. Amen. . I so agree with you and your post. I too am a long term associate, 25 years. I know I will be effected if and when the changes come. But I will make the best of it..Some people on here think they deserve something. The only thing we deserve is a pay check. Nothing more. H.O. does not have to run any changes by us to see if we are happy and will be able to adjust..I along with you will decide what's best for me when the time comes. There is so much negativity on here I would really hate to be a associate in their club.

Do you think they will pay us clerk’s wage for 6hrs each day to fold clothes, etc while the person’s job it is to keep soft lines area clean is being paid a much lower wage?
Owed nothing as far as a severance is your opinion, we all have a right to our own opinion . The reason some of us are not leaving yet is because if there is a small chance that we do get offered a severance package why not stay. If you are totally honest with yourself, you would do the same.
You are all being so negative and rude. If you are that unhappy, find another job. The company (or any other that you choose to work for) owes you a paycheck. And you get that. They don’t owe you respect, you earn that. They don’t owe you an explanation of how they choose to run their business. They don’t owe you a new position with the same hours and pay. Think about the way you all look. Go ahead, start calling me names, tell me I’m “drinking the kool aid, whatever! I am a long term associate and I WILL be affected. The associate only begins the 60 day period to find somewhere f/t to work or when to leave the company when the Mgr tells you your position has been eliminated. Don’t sign anything without reading it carefully or get someone perhaps the closest associate you trust to go over it with the Mgr present. I hope this helps you.
Because they had to find another job at that time. They learned their lesson with the severane packages. Now they are just changing their job duties. We will see

Listen to the quiet, there is not going to be a severance package. You will be offered another position in the club. Take it or leave
You know, that's what this is about. I don't mind that they are getting rid of my position . They are a business and have to do what they have to do. It doesn't matter if I think that most of these changes are obviously being made by someone who doesn't have a clue. My opinion doesn't matter. What I think is ridiculous is that they can't come out and tell us. Obviously, they know what they are going to do so what is the purpose of keeping it a secret? If we know what is gong to happen, then we can figure out what we are going to do. What if a position opens up, what if a job opens up elsewhere? I know someone that received a job offer but she doesn't want to give up her severance if there vis one and why should she? She, as well as myself, has been dedicated to this company for over 27 years. Why would Audit and the cash office lead be treated differently? Why are we taking from our job and just put wherever they need us with no regard for our feelings whatsoever? I don't mind doing whatever but I mind being treated like a little pawn. And really, all they did was elimunate the filing and 2 reports you never really did much with anyway. So I still have 90% left of my job. All we really want is to know what we will be offered as far as another position, severance, etc. I really can't inderstand all the secrecy. Everyone is ver y stressed out, and hateful to one another. I'm pretty sure everyone would feel the same if they were in our position.
Our receiving lead quit a week or so ago and the CM has opened a req to fill the position.
