By summer of 2019 the Schenectady plant will have 2 shifts working and mostly on first shift. Also the union head count in 273 will be about 500 union workers. They didn’t purchase Alstom to sit around the European Union is stronger than the local 301.

Mas quantities of salary and hourly will be displaced very soon.

That is because the Europe governments protect and support their union workers. GE has to answer to the French government if they layoff in France; however, the US Gov't long since has stopped protecting unions in the US.
