What is the best place to get a job at GE? What are the worst places that might have a layoff? What is the easiest way to get promoted?

would't it be fun to see the good ‘ol boy network fight it out cage match style... they could sell tickets and have it be an MMA type event like Timmy and Jimmy did on South Park. The winners would get to stay and the losers would go to the bread line.
A lot of GE employees are now unemployed after years of doing nothing but yapping their jaws. They are very afraid because reality has finally caught up with them. Their biggest fear is actually having to do real work and they know they are not qualified. Jaw yapping jobs GE are only for those in the the good ‘ol boy network now. This network is being threatened because the network will soon be trimmed. That’s when the real fighting begins.
I really do not know my friend
@zrr But where would I go? I've been with GE my entire career. All I know is how to play politics, promote six sigma, fast works, and Predix. This served me very well inside GE, but now I am a little worried that they may reduce my yearly bonus and I won't be able to afford my routine Christmas Vacation in Hawaii. Any other place out there looking for experienced leaders with a proved track record of a multitude of successful projects?
Best job to get at GE is the latrine cleaners. At least you can keep your life expectations lower. GE is not what it use to be, the union is weak, morale is low, not to many really give a crap if this place goes under. Blue and white collar workers in GE are jumping ship. If your smart you would leave GE too.
The only bitter loser is GE
Get into local 301 union. Lots of security.
Go troll somewhere else
Don't listen to that BS. Just the croaks of a bitter loser.
Easiest way to get promoted is to be part of the good old boys. If you aren't you will basically get promoted very little during your career and receive little to no raises. You are better off leaving the company for a promotion.
GE is no long a technology leader with the exception of Aircraft Engines. Even then Pratt is hiring like crazy so they are a better opportunity.
GE has always been known for continuous layoffs. Always has been. Always will be. Job insecurity is the GE way.
I would not recommend GE at this time. Wait until it all settles out...job security isn’t a thing at GE right now.
The best place to get a job at GE is with another company, and the best time is before GE lays you off.
