Someone keeps posting this on this site and it is absolutely false. There is no EISP at that time!

The company would be smart to offer an eisp waaaay before the 2019 contract date. If someone retires now, they are not likely to walk the picket line a year and a half from now. I know this from experience with past retirees. However, if someone takes an eisp and retires right before the contract is up, they most definitely will walk the line with their coworkers, as they are not yet settled into their new routines, and will still have a strong bond with their coworkers and the union.
The company aint hiring no contracters your insane !
Unless the one before the 2019 contract has 3 or 4 years of pay attached to it then it is unlikely many will take the package. 17 billion dollar tax windfall ... I expect Mr. McAdams would do well to pay that money now and have people off the books prior to contract time.
As far as a storm holding up the March EISP. Not too sure I buy into that as there are several thousand contract field techs looking for work. Anyone can be replace within 3 weeks or less. Even fiber work would not be dinged that badly. Lot of contractors looking for work and the company will hire them regardless of what the union has to say.
Already knew all this. Next one right before contract 2019 to reduce numbers on purpose
I was told It has been put on hold due to storm damage. There is a current shortage of skilled Field
technicians. The company can't spare any at this time, let alone pay them to leave. It will be months now till another EISP.
People come on this site and lie all the time. “Confirmed! EISP 3/18, 4/1, 7/17, 9/23.” LMAO. Just quit already.
And how do you know that??
That you Lowell?
So, if you know for certain that there isn't, do you know for certain when there will be?
