Let me ask all of you. You were always afraid of the dark side , are you still.

What does a customer need when a system is installed?

Help with their migration efforts/vmotion as an example, maybe assistance provisioning, maybe help with performance bottlenecks

Do you all consider gearing up for being able to accomplish those tasks or did you say I’ll leave that to the asm or sa/se, if you did why?

I was a hss moved in to a storage asm and then left to be a presales se in the channel

Your career has to continue to grow and flourish

Yes age discrimination does exist as I myself is in the job market and with all my experience have had positives and negatives

So if you have not done anything other then what was required in your bandbox what did you think would eventually happen

Wfrs have been occurring for years, hoping your number wouldn’t get picked, does that make sense

Businesses are built on roi, and when you cannot achieve roi things occur

No one wants to lose their job but I’m sorry it’s up to you to make sure you are prepared

Life is not static

Also as we get older appearance changes occur unless your a celebrity, have you made sure you have worked on that

All of this truly matters when your at of work

Your resume, when is the lady time you updated it

If you were the hiring mgr would you consider it or trash it

By the way

I was a ce Hss storage asm at Hp and left on my own in 2011 cause I felt what could happen back then

You think that was easy to leave with no severance, nothing

When I became a asm I gave up all that overtime where at that time was big money

Change isn’t easy my friend.

I also have friends that are in the field

I know what you are going through

In my wife’s company they use unisys for deskside support

From what they tell her it’s not paradise, I’ll leave it at that

You telling me my advice is a waste , great then just stay your course and take their offer

I’m telling all of you since I’ve lived outside of Hp for now a long time what companies are looking for

You can blow my advice off if you want or sit back , realize your pluses and minuses and work on your minuses to get a comparable position somewhere other then unisys

I’m done on this site now forever if it’s just a b--ch session instead of educating people

Everyone just complaining about hpe

I know as much about hpe and Hp maybe better then you do

I have friends in sales escalation mgt on both sides

It’s about telling you all to take this time to educate yourself

Complaining about Hp won’t accomplish nothing

Glad you thing moved up the chain and thing highly of yourself. That was a useless and uneducated comment from someone that does not understand the present situation.

HPE did not yet sent any termination documents to people affected. People are NOT being transferred to HPE.

The workforce is being "asked" to go to Unisys and fill an Intent of employment, hoping to be called for eventual job openings.

HPE is hoping has many people has possible will jump out of the ship to avoid to deal with severance packages. (Even if they said packages would be according to local regulations)

I cannot wait to see how HPE will deal with their current support partners.

My blog is not to make people feel bad

Yes spellcheck did incorrectly grammatize a couple of sentences but many years back upper mgt gave us the burning platform scenario.

People don’t let hpe win, if you have those skills listed in my post start looking

If you don’t try to get yourself up to snuff on a differentiator

I’m sure unisys will undercut you as much as they can

Stay on top of your career whether your a couple of years from retirement or 10 years , you will feel better about yourself in the long run
