Just read an email where 9 employees were promoted to Director and Sr Director. Let’s get this straight. The purpose of the layoff was to “flatten out the organization to make it easier and faster to get things done”. So, we add more people at the higher levels that will do what? At least we all get a preview of the future layoff target list. Don’t get me wrong. Some of the folks on this list truely deserved a promotion. I don’t think I’d want it theses days. Directors and Sr Directors seem to be a easy group to target come layoff time.

Don’t forget they split the bands so an incumbent Sr Director (lg3) can be replaced by another Sr Director that costs less (lg2)
