No job is safe. Hate to break it to you but just about EVERY company lays off at some point or another. A lot of companies don’t ever hire on anymore. They hire Temps through employment agency. You get an hourly rate and that’s it ... no benefit last and can be let go any time

I have wondered about that though. How many are making plans to leave after Sams share, applying for other jobs right now because they no longer feel secure. I haven't seen a lot of posts on this but I would think many are thinking about it.

More likely to sell their interest in Sam’s to another company (like Costco). Then some will be closed. Some will lose their positions and Sam’s home office will be gutted.

The day our Sam's Share dropped last year, I put my two week notice in and never looked back. Who would have thought I would be this happy leaving a $55,000 a year job, yet here I am, smiling ear to ear.
