Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

And now comes the Market Turmoil...

Because, we are in a recession and the only reason the stock market went as high as it did was due to corporations buying their own stock at any price, so execs could get bonuses, which were tied to stock price, not actual company performance.

This is why employees are disregarded and no longer valuable, because all that matters is the almighty stock price, which has NOTHING to do with realty, profits, or revenues, and everything to do with corporations spending every dime they have and can borrow on their own shares.

And now that most corporations are completely broke and have borrowed all they can to juice their stock price, the end game is here. Yes, that is what is going on, while you were asleep watching American Idol and Reality TV shows, so this came as a shock to you.

It didn't have to be, as many of us were not fast asleep and were paying attention, so you can look in the mirror for someone to blame, and think back to all the time you wasted sitting in front of the idiot box thinking all was well when it wasn't.

This is a Company made up of individuals , all people , as such we are also people and are also

, all flawed. All of us. It is at it's core a very good Company, despite what has happened. It will endure, it will survive. Some displaced will find options, some will move on. Bitterness does not help, it is painful but you will see better days! Maybe tough to see today, but you will. Those who did not treat people fairly, or consistently know who they are, let God sort it out. Focus on your life, your families, there are still great people in this Company in Leadership and in the Clubs, give them a chance to do their part. Many will step up to help behind the scenes in different ways. Change is never easy especially when it's forced upon you. Have Faith in God, and in the better angels of those in the Company, it will end up more than OK, God Bless all those displaced, and the Teams left behind to Manage a difficult process! Tomorrow will bring a better Day!

You sound really bitter. And for some reason you know nothing about your Company that you work for due to some of the things you said. If your not Happy, then figure out your options. We are ALL replaceable. Good Luck!
