Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

So sad that a manager like this got to keep their job and someone like myself got displaced that actually care about their associates and what happens with in the company. I only hope the best for all and those who didn't get displaced and feels like this person I hope you get yours.

Managers, if you think your employees are “worthless” then why is it you all come running to us panicking whenever you get a tip home office is on their way for a surprise visit? Think about that next time you call your employees “worthless”. We have saved your butts many times. Keep in mind that you too have bosses.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you're looking for attention, I can tell you I don't give a f--- but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career at Sam's Club. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you step down now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.

And this is not the case in our club. Area mgr does nothing while the team lead is left to do everything !!!

Hard working associates are not valued in our club. They only promote slackers and Butt kissers . The more you do the more they want and the regional mgrs expectations are totally totally unrealistic!!

The regional fresh mgr is out of touch and I doubt has ever stepped foot to actually work in a bakery , meat dept , etc.

they need to get back to the Sam Walton roots and start appreciating people more !

It will motivate them to accomplish more. A lot of us don’t even get our breaks bc so much is expected of us and more and more so everyday . Mgrs need to get a reality check when it comes to the fresh areas!!! Hardest jobs in the store hands down !

I am a 25 year associate worked my way from part time to full time have had several lead positions in the facility. Hell no wouldn't be a manager because it would actually b a reduction in pay due to the hours they are expected to work. However I hear my position is on the chopping block and have been in fear for over a year. Asked my market hr last year if I had to worry cause was purchasing a home told I was ok bought a house was free and clear in previous home and now I am terrified I will be homeless. I have seen mgmt get involved with associates and red book investigations that were simply a joke cause mgmt is always believed. Well I am looking for work so when the ax hits I will take the severance and my lifetime membership. And idlf nothing else reapply for second job cause where I work they start new associates at a wage that took me 7+years to achieve.

hourlies are the problem !.....woo hoo ! What a knee slapper !....hahahahahha........it is the management who are the problem.....won.t answer calls , won't correct their favs. lie , demean , cheat and mislead...all a part of the management tool kit.....IF HOURLIES ARE A PROBLEM IT IS BECAUSE MANAGENT IS NOT DOING THEIR JOBS !!! ......A group of "managed " people generally reflect their manager. If the houlies are gossips it is because management entertains gossip and uses it to make decisions about individuals being gossiped about. If hourlies are using foul language it is because they hear management doing the same...if an hourly continues to do a poor job it is because a manager is not holding them accountable...if an hourly gets away with creating a hostile work environment it is because a manager has not put an end to it..................on and on the list can go................when hourlies are not doing their jobs it is because management are not doing theirs....................plain and simple................if you want to be a coach then coach , not just sand there blubbering about hourlies being a problem..................

Glad you aren’t a manager in my club. My club works together as a team maybe you all should try it! Respect for the individual goes along way.

This very discussion on the thread is what will destroy any sense of resilience and Team work in the Clubs. This bitterness is only the beginning. Wait until the reign of terror begins, Saturdays, weekend nights, Planes flying, Night visits or Sunday and Weekend Terror attacks . Just proof to show how much the managers sit in the office and don't know what's going on in their own club. Leads are expected to do so much that the managers should be doing, but are too lazy and usually don't even know how. Is the company corrupt? Absolutely!! But so is the government, so go b--ch and cry about them. If someone directs a member to a manager, guess what, that's your job to handle! That's what you singed up for! Us hourlies are smart. We know a management position is not worth it. We didn't have to try it first. And maybe if the leads weren't so overworked they wouldn't have to say they're going over hours. But ya know what? That's your problem also. We are smart enough to stay in a position where we can't work 50 plus hour days. You wanted what you got. Deal with it. What happened? Did a manager that actually liked you get let go??? Cry to your mama but she's probably tired of hearing it too.

Wow!! You have issues. I'm glad you aren't my manager. I am a 25 year associate who is lead that works my butt off. I love all my managers and co workers. Thankful you aren't in my club.

Hourlies are scared to better themselves everytime they are offered an opportunity they worry about their mf life schedule like grow the f--- up and deal with what life has dealt you. Hourlies are pussies and love to make members mad and then push them off to managers. Hourlies love to use all types of excuses to wiesel their way out of a paper bag. All hourlies do is half added special needs work. They don't try and they expect a raise??? Lmao shows how dumb you guys are. Our club is getting the super max Sams share and they are all excited for work that none of them co tributes towards. And that's why management doesn't tell you that their super max share is around 12k not 2500 so deal with them apples you lazy worthless individuals.
