Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

ITS BEEN A VERY DIFFICULT WEEK FOR MANY OF US!

Tomorrow everyone should know their fate with the company! It’s been a difficult and stressful week for all of us, even if we were not displaced. It is difficult to see good managers that have dedicated and sacrificed so much learn they no longer have a position. I know change is inevitable and sometimes hard but also necessary. I wish I could say I understand what is going on but I do not. I do believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe it’s a better job with a different company (look me up, if ya find it). Maybe it’s time to spend some quality time with your kids (as managers we sacrifice so much time away from our families). Maybe it’s time to reflect, assess, and move into a different path for the betterment of your family. For every bad situation there is potential for a better outcome! Whatever God or higher being you believe in have faith that you are not doomed! I appreciate all of my fellow managers and their sacrifices. I pray that each of you find something better and your stress levels reduced. May God watch over you and guide you through this difficult time!

Totally not trying to step on anyone's toes. I have huge empathy for all hourly and management associates that have been effected (I am one of them also). But whether you are staying with the company or leaving, remember what's important in life. Your family. This company and others want your life to be theirs. I have seen so many managers live at that club. They sacrifice their health, any free time and what's worse, their families. Now you're all seeing that we all pushed aside what really needs our attention for a place that doesn't give a thought to any of us. As hard as we all worked was for absolutely nothing! It did not matter to them. We were all just a name on a piece of paper. A person who worked their hardest for 30 years looked the same as a person who did nothing on that paper. In our next chapter in life, let's keep those important people more of a priority. God Bless everyone and good luck with the day!

well said. Yes I'm scheduled to find out tomorrow. I really don't care either way at this point. How would anyone, including me, be loyal to a company after this. I appreciate the things that being a manager has afforded me over all these years (30) but this was just wrong.

Your right...God has a plan.

Good luck to all

You must believe in God , know that he will watch over Us All, he is in Control and guides our paths, and will lead us to a better day. Those who caused this pain and carnage to so many in such a

Callous unprofessional manner, should prepare. Their turn is coming. For those who were victimized

God Bless you and Your Families. The Lord will watch over and Keep You! To the Poster, well said friend. Well said.
