Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Is SNP HCM-RNs involved in the layoff

I requested well-being time for Feb 14 and was told by my coach that she can’t make that decision yet as there will be some layoffs next week and she’s not sure who’s going to be here and who’s not. Last week she told our team that SNP was not affected. Now it’s a different story but I’m not sure whether or not she’s threatening us with that because she doesn’t want to give us our well-being time.

My guess about the change is the way PTO can be requested...that we will be able to request hourly PTO instead of only a full day of PTO.

Question for OP. Was that a personal day you requested or just wellness hour? If that was an hour you need to call HR4U. You can't roll over wellness time and it's yours to take.

I have to stop reading all this because it's driving me crazy! Everyone is just guessing and pretending they know. Unless you know for sure stop responding with your guesses. It's making my head spin. I just want an answer to the original post. Easy peasy.

No merge, no additional layoff, no 10 hour shifts, no scheduling calls.

Coaches aren't preparing us for anything but possible layoffs. Not one word has been mentioned about upcoming changes. Still doesn't answer the question why the OP stated her coach last week said no SNP layoffs then this week denied her request for wellness time stating there was layoffs planned for next week and she didn't know who would be cut. Explain that!

Fact. Leadership hasn't been secretive about it. Coaches are supposed to be preparing people for this already.

PHCs also had to go to mandatory start times last year. You got to pick from 2-3 choices

Phc are hourly and it is an act of Congress or miracle to get overtime. You have to manage in your 40 hours. Period.

Educated guess or fact?

I would be so okay with no more moc. Calling on my members need base works so much better for me. I'm in love with scheduling them as need requires. So many less utcs.

So SNP will have layoffs in the future?

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @2zpy+RwyqURa

So my guess is massive layoffs for HCM RN next week like we expect and they keep enough RN’s to cover alerts after loss of MOC . They will then circle around in April and decrease again according to their needs. So glade we completed the puzzle. Thanks again!

Exactly!! No MOC calls, just scheduled calls and the rest move to monitored status. Hence massive HCM RN layoffs as we aren't all needed anymore. I suspect more layoffs in upcoming months as well if this is successful.

So we certainly don’t need many HCM RN’s for that. My coach has been saying don’t tell people you will call next month but what is a convenient time to reach them. Thanks for the last puzzle piece!

What if we don’t have any alerts?

by

Post ID: @2upa+RwyqURa

They are dropping MOC. All calls will be placed when the member asks for a return call based on their needs. When you log into hcat you're roster will have alerts at the top then everything else will be your calender, not what's due

Merging the programs makes sense. I made calls for SNP before and those folks don’t answer the phone. Takes a long time each day to get your contacts.

Better than words with friends! If it is across the board, and there’s huge layoffs to the hccp side and SNP is in tact and hccp is dealing with the more chronic members, as SNP is doing, and it is a solution to a problem people want, but won’t be happy with, and has to do with flexibility in roles, they’re merging us together....that’s why hcmss had to learn care plans, since SNP hcmss do care plans, they’re going to role put one system, with rosters, and there will be no division since we’ll all be dealing with the higher quadrant people, and hccp folk are being laid off, not SNP, since we are being merged with them, so part of the point in time eval for hccp has to do with ability to adjust, care plan, collayand past history of working with chronic people, not just case management......which is why the email went out months ago asking about our background with behavioral health and dual dx.

Anyone want to place a bet on the Super Bowl, too?.

The puzzle is a good thing, it’s entertaining and challenging, it’s not a negative thing....poster, can we get another clue?

We’ve got its for all roles, across the board, SNP , hccp, HCM, hcmss, Che, etc....

It had to do somehow with scheduling, and it’s a solution we’ve been looking for, but not everyone wil

Like

It’s a big announcement, and , in some ways it has to save money

The direction of the company is towards home health and serving chronic folks collaboratively....

We’re going back to rosters?

They’re offering job share?

Some of the telephonic will start doing home health as a trial run?

Why don't we just wait and see what is coming next week and in the meantime, take a chill pill? All the worry in the world isn't going to change anything and what if, by some chance that things are BETTER? What if, it is a GOOD thing? Come on guys. Put on your positive side for just a minute. All of the fear stuff is making me depressed. Let's find a way to get re-energized. It's been a rough road. We can wallow in our doubt and self-pity or get ourselves up, brush ourselves off and try to be part of a TEAM again. We can do this thing. We have made it this far. We can go a little bit farther. We are CHAMPIONS. Let's band together and get some GOOD things going. Go dig in the closet and find that little smile you had tucked away in a box last year, brighten it up and wear it. It looks good on us.

I don’t think we will be hourly. That would be to expensive. I work 50 hours a week. I do think auto dialer and hour changes are possible

Hmmmm... a puzzle. Is is just for SNP, or for all hccp? Is it for all roles in SNP or all roles in Hccp? Depending on which program, or all across the board, I’ve got some ideas, if you could fill in that info?
