As one of the ones who was laid off almost two years ago I remember I sat in the room as the director from Canada who did not even know our names or that even though we were just let go were sitting in the room, boasted about how happy he was that he was able to keep the best in the group. Lol the upper management ignorance is unbelievable.
I was let go almost two years ago and its been great every since. The oil / gas industry is still strong and there are allot of jobs out there. It was a toxic waiting game back then I hope it gets better for those who decide to stay.
