I'm just wondering, because we lost a manger today who was one of the best leaders, workers and people I've ever known. And this is not just me, everybody at the store felt the same about him. To say we are in shock would be an understatement.
Why? Who made this decision? Why in the world would you lay off one of your best?
This whole thing is making less and less sense to me...
I am an assistant manager that has only been with the company 2.5 yrs and was displaced today so its not just the long term and highest paid that are getting let go
Our region started yesterday and all the clubs so far have eliminated the longest and highest paid assistants.. regardless of how good, knowledge and committed they have been.
One club had all assists let go except 1.

I agree, i was there 11 years. all my evals were solid but i was let go. So was my GM, our club always made money, we're getting a great sam share. But hes been there 20 years.
I honestly believe that the company is just getting rid of anyone that has been there for a long time to save money. A gm with no coaching or bad evals ever, and the club is almost to supermax on Sam's share was let go today. It makes no sense.
