Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Is it a 5% people reduction or a 10% people reduction?

Just wondering if someone would be able to confirm! Hopefully it is less than 5%. The moral is low already!!

SCM = Severance Collecting Machine

Can't see SCM being affected. Al would be spending severance money he doesn't have to. They're all sick of their leadership and leaving on their own! I know of 6 people left the LP/MP group in the last year alone.

They are being disbanded. The big announcement should be this week. Most of them already got a new job in the company.

Isn't it time that RDO is finally disbanded? They've "served" their purpose, haven't they?

TC with 4 weeks per year is gold. Legally in Alberta, they only need to give you 1 week per year.

Remember Canadians get a different severance and it is better than what the US receives.

I’m not sure where you are getting a percent of layoff.

Does this include layoffs related to the sale of assets? Will areas already hit be hit again?

How many weeks severance per years of service has ENBr done in the past? TransCanada did 4 weeks / year on their last round of layoffs to a max of 2 years pay.

11.3% ?

That's insane.

ENB layoff during the BOEF was around 5% and it was the result of a 10 month process. I can't imagine this round being 2x more severe. But again, the stock is on decline since Oct 2016 and ENB has a massive amount of debt.

Good question. The higher the %, the bigger the stock bump for Al. Likely 5% is the press release, but closer to 6 or 7% with all the wiggle-room on what the 'actual' number is. With over 15k current employees, operations are safe but blood on the tracks for everyone else. Good luck to all next week.
