Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

April 18th 2018

I know this is hard for many Mondelez employees to believe but the end is near for DSD. I feel bad for everyone about to hear "your position has been eliminated" it will be a difficult time for many of you but there are many other companies that will offer you excellent positions it all depends on how much networking you've done during your time with the company. Mondelez dominates the market share in the cookie/cracker category and it makes perfect economic sense to finally turn all distribution over to warehouse. With the growth over the last year and losing the overhead of liability for a large distribution network the stock price will increase drastically. They will still keep a sales force similar to the Kellogg's current model but look for upwards of 10-15K employees losing their jobs. It's the new trend in the consumable goods industry we all need to adapt to the current climate. Start working on your resume now so you won't be blindsided when you are finally told the truth "your position has been eliminated".

Who cares what Mondelez is "committed" to, management can, and will, always change their minds! Two years ago they had a regional meeting for us to tell us all the rumors of a possible downsizing were untrue. Three months later they let go of 1/3 of the sales force. They go to extremes to lie and deceit. I get wanting to hush the rumors, but to lie to the extent they do! Things are bad and gonna get worse, especially after they fall flat on their faces with this M3 number! Gonna miss this one by a mile. When they miss the mid month incentive by what they will they realize it. This will be the nail in the coffin.

Yep that's the catch! Committed to DSD until Easter. Announcement to come in April. End of Q2 exit. Right around the 4th of July. End with a bang! Game Over! Good luck to everyone! There are better companies to work for. This company is full of lies and deception.

Problem is, we don't turn a profit in the U.S. The only way to get out of the red is to eliminate the most expensive way of bringing cracker to market. DSD We are only committed until the end of the first quarter.

We will keep our jobs for first few months to help with transition. What happens when Kroger goes CAO in July which sounds like thats coming. We wont make the Holiday season.......Q3 exit.

the only "concrete proof" will be a termination call! When DSD ends is a moving target, IF DSD end is not! I put my $ on this year! Red flags are everywhere! I'm not a doomsday prepper, just a realist! Starting to look around, my merchandisers already made the jump and are happy to have done so!! Keep your head in the sand and pretend it isn't going to happen, smart move...NOT!

Agree......all these posts of crap with no concrete proof we are going away. We are not losing Walmart to warehouse. We will still be servicing them as we do now. You Ex-Keebler disgruntled workers need to get a life and find a job as ours is not going anywhere any time soon.

April 18th?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? You're full of it! We're not going anywhere! Got some proof to back that up? Nope! Just crickets chirping on here! Nabisco is committed to DSD! We're way bigger than Keebler!

Wishful thinking on th grocery managers part! Probably does not want to face the reality of what his job is about to become! There is a huge Kroger warehouse (60 million $ to build) that is about to loaded with lots of vendor product for them to work!! Hostess, Keebler, and next Mondelez. Quit fooling yourself.

We're to big to go warehouse a Kroger manger told me. He said that they couldn't handle it and we're staying in DSD. Nothing to worry about. One team one dream!

Yes, EVENTUALLY coke,

Pepsi, and Frito go DSD. All at one time? NO! That would be stupid! They are taking one at a time. Keebler went first, we are second! Frito drivers know that their time is coming, they stopped purchasing box trucks! Mondelez LEASES cars,

Not purchases them! It is more expensive to maintain an older car than lease a new one!

Finally a post that shows some proof of a DSD exit. Sounds like our day's are about numbered. Not sure where someone thinks April 18th is the day!

I am not sure of the exact date, I do know Dirk is currently in meeting for 3 days discussing profitability and working on a 2018 profitability plan. I do know DSD will cease to exist, not just for mondelez but for nearly all vendors. Kroger wanted our skus to go pack 6 and not 12, did that happen? Who did that help, not us! Kroger eliminated zesta from 100 of stores because they would not put zesta in a box to protect product, do those come in a box now? Don't fool yourself, Kroger is calling the shots! We continue to lose facings and new times all we do is cannibalize ourselves, that is a great example of how we don't grow. When Keebler left DSD there were expectations that we could not touch. It's been over 7 months now, time to quit with the cyber attack excuses! Don't let your manager dumb you down by feeding you bs and have you believe it! Step into reality and retail in 2018 and beyond, which does not include DSD!

Excatly!!

Walmart is putting everyone on CAO.

Doesn't mean we're exiting DSD on April 18th!

DSD isn't going anywhere!

Kroger told me it's not happening now!

Kroger wanted Nabisco to drop down to top 50 sku's.

Nabisco isn't giving up sku's.

Fake News!!!

Already been testing CAO at Kroger in our region for over a year and now rolling it out to more stores. They handle Keebler just fine! Kroger warehouse is ready for product and they will go live according to Kroger senior management.

Post ID: @len+RsPj1vc

They told us Kroger will never go CAO as well. They cannot handle keebler.

It's happening!

It's just a matter of when they decide to pull the plug on DSD.

Nobody knows the exact date!!

Only senior leaders know and Deefield protects themselves.

They told us at the rally meeting Kroger don't want CAO.

No evidence?!!!! Wow your really missing the clues! Krogers completion of a 60 million dollar warehouse is all you really need! Think we could maintain DSD without Kroger? "We go where Kroger goes" ring a bell! Kroger

Is done in April, know that for a fact! Been told so by those at Kroger making the transition!

DSD maybe going away but it wont happen this year! I would say in next couple of years. There is no evidence of it going warehouse in a few months.

Don't think that the company is going to keep people,a lot of kelloggs employees thought the same thing"They will need some of us"..no they didn't,common carrier pickup at bakery, delivery to chain warehouse, chain warehouse orders picked and delivered to individual stores.Feb 7 start, first terminations June 23,they already had everything planned and ready to put into play.

They have to give 60 days notice by law. We cannot convert to warehouse that quickly, that's why they have been preparing for years. How many depots have closed to consolidate to larger ones? New trucks, only straight trucks not box trucks. Warehouse workers will still be needed, the larger depots will still remains to house product to deliver to local retail warehouses. You know anything about supply chain? They will have regional warehouses to put product for regional warehouses for customers. Will still need warehouse workers to pull orders for customers, still got to get product from point a to point b.

So we are to believe that April 18th will be our final day???

That's less than 90 days away!!

Fake news!!

No way we can convert to warehouse that quickly.

The driver's and warehouse workers are unionized

We've been told DSD is here to stay.

Was also told we're getting brand new trucks!!
