Anybody knows if those of us who are working at the closing stores will be given a chance to transfer to same positions at other Toys R Us stores if we are willing to travel?
I'm still not sure I'd like to do that, but it'd be nice to know that is one of my options. Any info would be appreciated!
This corporation has lied about everything and continues to do so.
I would advise you to move on from this company because the entire thing is going down.
They are not telling the whole truth. They know more than you know and are only caring about themselves. 180 days are numbers like you they will tell you want you want to hear to keep you and let you go the day you work your last shift and you won't know it Follow your instincts
My store told all of us yesterday that because of what's going on and the process they told us we had 180 days to get into another store in the area and it would be like we never left. Not sure what state your in but i'm in california. Ask your management of the store, ours had that information for us.
You will be given severance and normally an opportunity to help close down your store for additional hours if you want. You will then be terminated and you will have to apply and interview at a new store at a new pay rate. Your years of service will not carry over.
