Thread regarding Follett layoffs

W2s are out. See how bad your pay cut was!

Simply shocking to see it vs LY. Store did just as well, if not better than 2016 and I made 20% less for it. Do they think this is incentive to work harder?

Re: Walmart bonuses

I heard on the news that only a fraction of Walmart employees will receive a bonus.

The bonuses are limited to Walmart employees with at least 20 years of service.

Given Walmart's high turnover rate, that will benefit very few workers.

It's great PR for Walmart and our President, though.

Many more full-time Walmart workers will have their sub-poverty level wages supplemented with

foodstamps courtesy of US taxpayers.

Yes, it's much better to have layoffs and not get a bonus like at Follett!

Just as an FYI, lot of those bonus that many employees got was at the expense of other layoffs. ATT laid off 1000 employees right after announcing bonus, walmart closed 63 SAMS clubs and laid off 500 employees right after announcing increased minimum wage and bonus.

Relating tax cuts to bonus is a ploy to make guillable sheep think that Trump is doing something for them.

I almost sh-- myself when I read the comment about the tax cuts. No way is this company going to share the windfall with us peons. They will pocket every dime, and then claim poverty later on when they explain why well be going into a fourth consecutive year without raises.

Don't hold your breathe waiting for bonus or pay raise. Rush sales are not looking good, so that will be the excuse not to pay us in the field.

So the real question is. Many major companies are benefiting from the Trump tax cut and providing bonuses to their employees or increasing their hourly wages. In other words passing on their tax savings to the employees who after all drive the company. We haven't had an increase in 3+ years.

What do you think Follett is going to do? Will they share it with employees or pocket it? Not a peep has been communicated yet.
