So I just heard from a manager that they are going to make night crew 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. I believe they're doing this to save money not sure tell me your thoughts.

They didn’t take the night differential pay when we switched to days
My club starts this in June , 3-12:30pm or 4pm-11-30pm options however at my club they are giving people that have been here long time first choice which is BS!
Also what days they want off. So.....I know if I can’t take the morning shift and off Sunday then I’m out the door. Currently my sundays are free and clear because my shift ends at 6am now . We will see....
Night lead and manager will either work 3pm-11:30pm or 4am-2pm(o/n merch) 12:30. 2 shifts not one. And the entire company will be doing this my club is #13 company wide to start this.
Funny how little response there is from the test clubs.
That's the same question I keep asking, and not a single person has answered. What happens to the night manager and tl???? I don't think they've done anything with them right now, but they will. I am thinking the manager will stay a manager, but the tl will be done away with. Getting rid of the tl fits with the restructure I've been hearing about. Not many leads will be left in a few years.
So what happens to the night team leader and manager?
What position are you that you have to work later?
since you're a test club what happened to daytime t/l and clerk?
When they started doing it at your club did they offer severance to the people who couldn't work those hours?
We started doing this at my Sam's Club back in October. It's been getting to know some of the night crew associates. It hasn't been too bad, other than I stay later than I usually would before the change.
any top people CEO, COO, etc.... taking pay cuts as a means to make company more profitable?
There is no way it could start as early as next week. None. Maybe get announced. But not put in place.
I heard it could start as early as this weekend RhHbPUv-1rbl.
A lot of the overnight crews out there are mix of worthless and amazing associates. This will weed out the bad ones with more supervision noticing the lack of productivity. The good ones will stand out and maybe get more recognition and promotion by being more visible to management.
LOL! We know who the bad associates are, they just don't do anything about them. And the good ones will just get more work dumped on them.
This is one of the changes rumored that might be a good idea.

It’s gonna be a push to get all of the heavy forklift based stocking done but if they go to 10 am Open that will be easily accomplished.
I was on nights back in the day when they flopped us back on days. 4am-12:30p. We still opened at 7am for business members then. It will save the company a TON of money (cuz they need it, *eye roll). At least these jobs won’t be eliminated just a schedule change (hopefully).
I worked when they use to open at 10.It wasn’t bad at all.We will get use to it,like we do everything else.Just wanna know if I’m part of the change or not
This is how it was 25 years ago more associates for member service. Seems like they test stuff and resort to old true way. Goes to show if isn't broken don't fix it. Just sorry that they lose so much talent in the process of figuring that out
Yes we are going backwards in our times 10am-8:30 this will accomplish 2 things, we will grow our club pick up for business members, and will save on amount of associates needed. It’s a win win that’s why they pushing club pickup and scan n go.
The not opening until 10 AM for all members is being tested in some clubs. Is this going nationwide now?
Back to how things were in the beginning...
Did your manager tell you when this would take effect? I'm a night crew associate but haven't heard anything yet, rumors are flying of course
Just like Costco
And clubs will not open at 7 for business members. They will be forced to do club pickup. No members in building until 10am
This is not a news flash. Been testing for a while now.
Is that all clubs?
Well, they won't have to pay the night differential anymore...
