Why are posts being deleted? Can thelayoff.com let us know? Is HPE threatening you?

Watch what you say! The Google knows all and sees all... Who's been naughty, and who's been nice!

All companies have employees scan social media blogs such as this to contain the dissemination of their dirty laundry. If they have no stains to hide why are they so concerned for their reputations? Sounds guilty to me.

This makes sense... "I wonder if a lot of the posts were done from machines within HPE's firewall. If so, most probably they had the same IP address and the moderator considered them fake. Just a theory..."

"excessive posts on the same topic"... Then what's the point of posting updates here?

None of that is valid in this case.

not an hp employee, browsing here (i work for intel) - here is why the remove them (the list is not complete but should give you an idea):

any instances of

  • hate speech and racism - thjey have low tolerance on this

  • violence - see below

  • safety of people or property - they are big on this, there is a note that they may disclose your ip to the authorities if this is the case - look at the rules or somewhere else...

  • low value - stuff that ads very little value (e.g., the whole wiki article just hogs space)

  • repeated posts - the same post gets recycled, over and over

  • bad language - you need to cross the line here, they tolerate some

  • excessive posts on the same topic or from the same user
