Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

How do coaches evaluate associates new to their teams?

I am new to my team due to the last round. Not sure how my new coach can evaluate me. She very obviously favors her original team

It should not be like that. Your coach should look at each of you and your contributions to Humana regardless of your time on the team or with the company. If that’s occurring you should document when and report to HR.

Wow, that coach really knows how to make reassignments feel welcome, huh?

That’s terrible.

My coach also very obviously favors her original team. She even calls them "My team" when referring to the original people...and the rest if us she calls "the new people." She hasn't even bothered to learn out names. Seriously, she hasn't addressed me by my correct name yet. I guess she figures it's not worth wasting the time on learning my name if she's going to put me down to get the boot anyway.

Coaches evaluating is always fun especially when you are moved to a new team for only a few months...in most cases the newbies are the first to go unless their new coach or com knows them and then they have a good chance of bring kept.. remember contributions to your team are evaluated. . Good Luck. especially if you have had more than two coaches in a short period of time.

Agreed! No coach will keep it strictly business. He will protect (even if for only the time being) those he is most closely aligned with

The last time my old coach even glanced at my eval was mid year. Not much written. I think the newbies on the team will be the first to go.

End of year Evals were basically written by the previous coach. New coach just adds to it

I would like to know the same thing. I was moved also. There is very obvious favoritism from my coach to her “old” team members. If they are given a quota of people they “have” to get rid of, I have no doubt the “old” team members will be saved. There is an aspect of all assessments that is very subjective so I feel certain that the newer will be the ones to go. I do feel sorry for the last group hired though. Imagine just getting hired in August and getting the boot less than 6 months later.
