I know that there are test clubs with outsourced wireless associates. I’ve seen first hand they have outsourced employees in Walmart’s already.when the remodel does happen is the whole tech area basically all in one type of island and desk area like at remodeled walmarts? Does anyone have any further insight on this?

I work wireless and I got pulled into the managers office. We are being outsourced by a third party. If you work in connections they will give you 60 days to find a new position within the store otherwise you will be terminated. Though you may be able to receive a severance package.
If you decide to stay with the company you will be required to train the men and women taking your job on how to use the Warp system and the register.
There are VERY few connection center associates in my club. I doubt the others will stay once they hear the news considering they were looking for work elsewhere anyway. And I’m hoping to find new Work before I’m required to train the guys taking my job.

Keep in mind up until a handful or so years ago Wireless WAS third party.. Radio Shaq managed it..
Photo is gone. Once the remodel starts, it's one of the first things to go. Our photo associate did get a severance option.
Wireless could easily be outsourced; Costco already does it that way. I mean... Demo is outsourced. We sell sushi that is a 3rd party company onsite. Anything is possible.
I was told by one of the direct tv guys also known as smart circle, that they are going to be takeing over the connection center and thats where they are going to sell all of their services like cell phones and Direct Tv. He said that this will be rolling out early this year.
Remodel is cancelled
There are test markets in the South that are remodeled and have outsourced their wireless. Just because you’re remodeled now doesn’t necessarily still mean you’re safe.
We were number one in the market for wireless activations. They need to keep it.
To the clubs that are in the process of remodeling, is photo staying? Is it on the blueprint? If they are removing photo, will the displaced associates get severance?
our remodel was already done and there was no outsourced wireless associates but they did get rid of the photo department. store 4947
We're in the final stages of a remodel and it's still wireless associates.
Our remodel blueprint shoes an identical kiosk but I've also heard from good sources it will be man by third party
