Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

GSD to be Outsourced?

Is is possible that GSD is being outsourced to DXC.

But its happening Monday whatever it is.

Theres a gsd wide meeting point next transformation.

Then a meeting with our area manager right after that

Anyone heard from the field in the Houston pilot area or central region as to how the transition went? Management says Houston went smoothly, but we all know that may be far from reality. East/West regions to go on 7/2.

HPE also seems to have lost the ability to make decent hardware anymore so dumping their techs right now is a pretty stupid move. Then again what was the last good move they have made? Instead of fixing their problems they just lay off more people.

Not all HPE techs going. Of you were not offered a position then HPE pays you a severance. They are forcing all techs out because they know they are already short handed for techs ( I can't imagine why). Positions with uni are guaranteed for one year then who knows. After a certain timeframe you can reapply for a different job with HPE (why should you want to though). They are rushing this likely to reduce the employee count for the new fiscal year even if uni isn't ready ( I bet they are not). Some techs are seeing salary cuts north of 10k and uni offers only 2 weeks vacation as opposed to HPE up to 4 plus one week sicktime.
