Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Are we looking at demotions?

There are rumors going around that Follett found another way to screw over its employees - next round of layoffs people will be offered other positions that are significantly below their current pay grade. If we refuse, we don't get the severance package.

Does anybody know if this is true? Seems like an especially despicable way to treat loyal employees.

They are all out of accounting tricks. PTO scheme for no rollover only helped one year and only on paper. Hurt employees with no real gain for anyone other that RG executive bonus.

Bonus and raise season prepare to be bitterly disappointed even as FSS software continues to rake in money.

Silence. I wouldn’t expect anything until the end of the month if there is something going on.

I don't know. It is possible. In the past, they did use this tactic to deny long tenured employees severance. The recruiting process included offering positions far from where the employee lives (no relocation allowance was offered), positions far outside of the employees experience (continuting the sudenly stupid paradigm). The intent was very clear; fill a file full of the employee declining offers. follett is simply awful.
